Arrangements for children need to be reviewed regularly, particularly as the children grow up and their needs and wishes change and develop. Parents’ circumstances can also alter, such as moving to a different area, finding a new partner, work patterns changing. Mediators use Parenting Plans to help families negotiate arrangements. A variety of subjects can be discussed and agreed such as contact times, holidays, special days, school events and keeping in touch with other family members. Decisions made can be written up in a Statement of Outcome. This can be reviewed from time to time and altered if necessary.
